Official Description
Squid 2.4 STABLE3 and earlier does not properly disable HTCP, even when "htcp_port 0" is specified in squid.conf, which could allow remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2002-0067 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
