Official Description
Memory leak in Netscape Collabra Server 3.5.4 and earlier allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (memory exhaustion) by repeatedly sending approximately 5K of data to TCP port 5238.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2001-0683 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
