Northern Air Systems(2) was compromised in a ransomware attack attributed to akira in December 2025. The organization, operating in an undisclosed sector in United States, was added to the group's data leak site as part of an extortion campaign.

akira operates as a financially motivated ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) operation, exfiltrating sensitive data and threatening public disclosure to pressure victims into paying ransom demands.

Northern Air Systems has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality HVAC systems for commercial and industrial applications for nearly three decades.As you could have noticed, we've made it 2nd time to penetrate totheir systems and locked almost 90 vms.
